I'm really happy for AP winning the MVP, and think it is very well deserved. I love that AP talked about winning a Super Bowl in his speech. Super excited for next year. It would have been interesting to see how AP would have done (and the Vikings as well) if Percy Harvin could have stayed healthy, or happy, or whatever happened to him.
Also, Cris Carter became another Minnesota Viking to make it to the Hall of Fame. As big as a Vikings fan I have been, I have never cared for Cris Carter a whole lot. He was definitely a huge reason for the Vikings success in the 90's, but he reminds me too much of Ray Lewis, where he thinks he is above the team. He strikes me as a guy that would appear to be your best friend when other people were around, but if you needed a ride to the airport, or needed any type of favor, you wouldn't be able to reach him.
3 Reasons I would Beat my Brother in a Super Bowl
With Jim and John Harbaugh coaching against each other today in the Super Bowl, I can't help but think what the outcome would be if I coached against my brother, Matt Bitz. These are the 3 reasons I think I would win:
1. Wisconsin Badger Pride-Major Downfall-With Matt being a Wisconsin Badgers fan, there is no doubt his team would have a high number of NFL Badgers on his team. Don't get me wrong, there are some great NFL Badgers, but it's hard to beat my faster, more athletic team full of former stars from the SEC. His team might have an outstanding running game, and 1 or 2 stars on defense, but it wouldn't be enough. Also, because Matt hates Michigan so much, I would make sure to have a Tom Brady or Chuck Woodson, both of which would bring me to victory. My Team Wins!
2. Successful Punt Fake-Some Super Bowls have been decided on 1 play. You know that play where the momentum turned so quickly, that one team couldn't get back into it. That would happen in our game. It would come down to one play. One play that would be remembered forever. I would make the most ill-advised coaching decision in a Super Bowl ever. I would do a punt fake on my own 20 at some point in the game, and it would not only work, it would turn into a 80 yard TD. This would ultimately frustrate Matt and his team so much, it would be a back breaker. My Team Wins!
3. Never Gamble on Your Team-As more people put money on the Super Bowl than any other game in sports, there is absolutely no doubt that Matt and I would both have significant money on this game. In the history of us being brothers, I have found that Matt prefers to bet on one team covering or not, vs. the over/under which I prefer. As Matt would be betting on 1 team, there is no way he would hedge his bet and put money on my team. He would have to take his team. Because of that, Matt would be doing the #1 no-no for sports gambling. Never Gamble on Your Team. Too many eggs in one basket. Too much on the line. This would most certainly cloud his coaching decisions. My Team Wins!
Super Bowl Prediction
San Francisco 49ers: 38
Baltimore Ravens: 27
Super Bowl MVP: Michael Crabtree
Even in defeat, ESPN still gives Ray Lewis way too much coverage post-game. We get it ESPN, you want us to like him when he joins your team next year.
Enjoy the game y'all!
